Service Description

This course introduces a range of ceramic-making techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment. Participants will explore key hand-building methods, including coiling, pinching and slab building, gaining an understanding of form, structure and surface. The course also provides an opportunity to try throwing on the wheel, with guidance on basic centring and shaping techniques. In addition, learners will be introduced to fundamental glazing processes and finishes. The informal nature of the classes supports experimentation, skill development and personal creativity, making the course suitable for beginners as well as those with some prior experience.
